Farewell to our Maestro
Harris Lanzel To Conduct Last Concert
Professional guitarist, Denny Scott, and fan favorite vocalist, Amy Bright, will be featured in the Naples Concert Band’s final concert of their 51st season. Denny will play Mason Williams’ “Classical Gas” and Amy will sing “Blue Moon” and “Love Is Here To Stay” accompanied by the NCB Big Band. Music of a lighter nature will complement their performances. “Iberian Escapades,” “Rollo Takes a Walk,” “Dances of a Shimmering Spirit” and “Tower of Power” are some of those selections. This concert will be Maestro Harris Lanzel’s last concert. He will be retiring after 15 years as Music Director/Conductor of the NCB. But not to worry, as Harris will be 'tooting his own horn' in the trumpet section next season!

Musically speaking, Amy Bright refers to herself as a “canary” in the Big Band Era sense: the age when a girl singer stood at the front of the bandstand and simply told a story through music. There are few things in life she enjoys more than engaging an audience in song – especially with a full band or orchestra. She is “for hire” to serve a unique need in the southwest Florida musical market: she is “on call” as a sub vocalist for many popular musical groups in the area. Although trained as a classical vocalist from the age of 15, Amy has discovered joy in singing all types of music over the years including pop/top-40/dance, jazz standards, Broadway, and rock. Her background includes a wide array of studio session work, dramatic performances, spokes modeling, industrial film acting, and live appearances ranging from singing and dancing on the cruise ship circuit to National Anthem performances at sporting events, including Florida Everblades hockey games.

Cambier Park is located in the heart of Naples, just south of 5th Avenue South. There is ample parking, restaurants and things to see and do after the concert!
