Musically speaking, Amy Bright refers to herself as a “canary” in the Big Band Era sense: the age when a girl singer stood at the front of the bandstand and simply told a story through music. There are few things in life she enjoys more than engaging an audience in song – especially with a full band or orchestra. She is “for hire” to serve a unique need in the southwest Florida musical market: she is “on call” as a sub vocalist for many popular musical groups in the area.  Although trained as a classical vocalist from the age of 15, Amy has discovered joy in singing all types of music over the years including pop/top-40/dance, jazz standards, Broadway, and rock. Her background includes a wide array of studio session work, dramatic performances, spokes modeling, industrial film acting, and live appearances ranging from singing and dancing on the cruise ship circuit to National Anthem performances at sporting events, including Florida Everblades hockey games.

Sue Adney joined the Naples Concert Band in 2008, serving as the NCB’s only oboe and English horn player until her co-soloist, Dianne Salminen joined the Band. Her musical training dates back to her childhood in Virginia and California, when she learned the basics of singing from her mother (an opera singer) and began lessons on double-reed instruments.  Sue's formal studies included Tom Hill of American University in Washington D.C., and more recently with Gene Montooth who is principal oboe in the Opera Naples orchestra.  Sue's previous playing experience includes the Fairfax City Band in Virginia, and as the former principal oboist in the Naples Orchestra and Chorus. Sue is a graduate of Indiana University and an alumna of the U.S. Secret Service Office of Training.

Craig Greusel is entering into his 40th year as a music specialist, presently teaching for the Collier County Public School system. Additionally, he has served as the Director of Music at Marco Lutheran Church for more than 35 years. He has been singing as a soloist with the Naples Concert Band since 1989. Craig started singing with the Fred Waring organization in the 1970’s. He then attended the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts at Bucknell University. He holds performance and music education degrees from Juniata College and Penn State University, as well as a graduate degree from Nova Southeastern University. Craig has performed multiple roles in our area’s community theatre productions, most recently including Marco’s Singing Broadway. This season he will be performing in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a hilarious Tony Award winning Broadway Musical in March 2023.  Additionally, he continues to write new music and perform at a variety of venues around the Marco/Naples area.

Robert Maxwell is a 1983 vocal performance major from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Mo. He is also an ordained minister.  After graduation from college, he worked as a youth/worship minister in Northwest Arkansas.  While there, he was a sought after vocal soloist as well as the assistant director for an 80 voice Men’s chorus.  Here in Southwest Florida, he spends most of his time as the worship/discipleship minister at Anchor Christian Church where he leads his congregation.  He finds time to sing in the Naples Philharmonic Chorus as well as play his trombone in the Bonita Springs Concert Band.

Dianne Ritz-Salminen received her BA in Music Education from Ohio University, a Masters of Music from Temple University and a Library Science degree from Kent State University. She studied oboe and English horn with Pam Pecha, Adrian Gnam and John Mack from the Cleveland Orchestra and Louis Rosenblatt from the Philadelphia Orchestra. After teaching music in Brunswick, Ohio and playing the Erie Symphony, she went to teach overseas and performed in many orchestra and chamber ensembles in countries such as: Indonesia, Belgium, Jordan, UAE and China. The highlights include performing with the  UAE National Symphony and the Queen Noor Conservatory Orchestra. Having returned to the U.S. and Naples a few years ago, she has enjoyed playing with the Naples Concert Band, Bonita Springs Concert Band and the Naples Symphony Orchestra. 

Mary Zitnik holds a BM in voice performance from DePaul University. Prior to relocating to Florida Mary was a member of the prestigious Chicago Symphony Chorus. They were featured on several Grammy winning recordings. She has served as a cantor and choir member in various churches in the Chicagoland and Fort Myers areas and has recorded commercial jingles as well as a CD of original Catholic songs for young children entitled, “Totally Catholic.” She is also a published songwriter. Mary’s performance background includes classical, standards, country, pop, and rock. As an instrumentalist, she is a member of the Naples Concert Band, Bonita Springs Concert Band, Island Brass and Brass Music Elements with which she appears regularly as a vocalist as well.
