Happy Valentine's Day!

Virtuoso Trombonist Harry Watters and fan favorite vocalist Craig Greusel will headline NCB’s February 5 concert.  Harry will “blow your mind” with “A Musical Journey Through New Orleans” and “Cherokee.”  Craig will sing “Tonight” from “West Side Story” and a medley of songs from “The Wizard of Oz.”  “Overture to Candide,” “Iron and Ice: A Viking Adventure,” “Blue Tango” and “The Blues Brothers Review” are some of the other impressive arrangements that are programed to show off the NCB.  Enjoy a Sunday in the park with the sights and sounds of Naples' own concert band under the direction of Harris Lanzel and assisted by John Salminen.

Jazz Trombonist Harry Watters travels nationally and internationally as a Jupiter Artist. His numerous Summit Records releases include the popular Love Songs and the three critically acclaimed Brothers discs with trumpeter Ken Watters.  Watters has performed with Doc Severinsen, Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, Erich Kunzel, Kevin Mahogany, Wycliffe Gordon, Lou Rawls, Maureen McGovern, Bill Watrous, Carl Fontana, Jiggs Whiggam, James Moody, Peter Erskine, Conrad Herwig, John Fedchock and the Boston Brass. In addition, Harry has appeared as a featured soloist with the Syracuse Symphony, the Baton Rouge Symphony, the Louisiana Philharmonic, the Tulsa Pops, the West Virginia Symphony, the University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band, the Janacek Philharmonic, the Moldovan Festival Orchestra and the U.S. Army Orchestra.

Craig Greusel is starting into his 39th year as a music specialist, presently teaching for the Collier County Public School system. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Music at Marco Lutheran Church. He has been singing as a soloist with the Naples Concert Band since 1989. Craig started singing with the Fred Waring organization in the 1970’s. He then attended the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts at Bucknell University. He holds performance and music education degrees from Juniata College and Penn State University, as well as a graduate degree from Nova Southeastern University. Craig has performed multiple roles in our area’s community theatre productions, most recently including Marco’s Singing Broadway. This season he will be the featured soloist at the Marco Island Easter Sunrise Service on the Beach. Additionally, he continues to write new music and perform at a variety of venues around the Marco/Naples area.

Cambier Park is located in the heart of Naples, just south of 5th Avenue South.  There is ample parking, restaurants and things to see and do after the concert!
