A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving vehicle that allows donors to make a tax-deductible contribution to a sponsoring organization (such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or a community foundation), receive an immediate tax benefit, and recommend grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits over time. DAFs are increasingly popular because they offer flexibility in charitable giving and tax advantages for donors.

If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to support our mission. This type of gift—also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)—allows you to donate up to $100,000 per year without counting the distribution as taxable income.
If you’re at least 59½ years old, you can take a distribution from your IRA and then make a gift without penalty. If you itemize your deductions, you can take a charitable deduction for the amount of your gift.
